North Waziristan Wash Project

The project provided water and sanitation facilities for patients at Miramshah Hospital. The prupose was to provide potable drinking water to the thousands of patients visiting hospital. Moreover North Waziristan had very limited access to electricity from national grid, as a result most of the time hospital could not operate its standard equipment. As part of the project, water well were constructed that operated entirely on solar powered energy.

The project's major goal was improved access to safe and adequate water supply to Miramshah hospital and provide solar powered energy to hospital including street lights to increase the capacity of the hospital to provide quality health services.

Working hand-in-hand with community and government leadership, the project ensured proper management of facilities.
